Many machining coolants (or wash fluids that end up with coolants in them) are considered good food by bacteria and/or fungi. These fluids are often and easily colonized causing odor issues and fluid degradation issues.

Rather than allow the bacteria and/or fungi to eat up critical components of your fluids we suggest a regular testing program.

We offer BugCheck dipstrips which allow you to easily grow bacterial cultures on one side and fungal cultures on the other side - incubation in a dark, room temp area is all that is needed. We also offer a much faster test method – the MediCount ATP Bioluminescent Meter which checks for ATP level in fluids (or on surfaces.) ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is basically the "energy currency" of cells - so if you have something like bacteria or fungi in your fluid then you will have ATP that can be detected within just seconds of pulling a sample.
