Nozzle Maintenance

Many general part cleaning systems utilize a vee-jet spray pattern that allows for overlapping of the spray impingement being delivered across the cleaning zone. If nozzles are showing erratic spray action or the spray pattern is not performing the full coverage necessary to do the cleaning necessary, then the nozzles should first be removed and cleaned with compressed air and/or a pipe cleaner.

If the erratic spray persists, then the manifold holding the nozzles should be clear of all scale and debris.

If all is clear and there is still insufficient spray coverage, then the problem is the nozzle itself has worn. If that is the case, either look at the machine’s bill of material or the spray nozzle itself and call Midbrook to order replacement nozzles. Be sure to specify whether your nozzles are threaded, quick fit or cpvc.
