Cleaning Issue

The client manufactures rotors for one of the largest automotive companies in the world. They needed a cleaning unit that could accept rotors transported from a roller conveyor that was currently in place on the floor. Cleanliness specifications were moderate, with emphasis on critical and rigorous dryness capability and standards. A production rate of one hundred and eighty pieces was required to meet the manufacturing demands.

Midbrook Solution

Midbrook engineers developed a cleaning system with a conveyor designed on an angle to augment solution drainage. Delrin® pads were added to the conveyor to provide protection, creating lubricity in moving the parts. A rubber curtain was added between the wash and rinse stage to contain the water and minimize carry over. Midbrook provided a cleaned part that satisfied the client's needs and dryness specifications.
